Rainy Day

The good's a holiday! The bad news...I had an 8am dental appointment (needed a filling) and it's pouring out! I'm not sure what possessed me to think that an 8am appointment on my day off was a good idea, I may actually convince myself that I can take a little nap today to make up for it. I'm not usually a napper, too much stuff to do or at least books and magazines to read, but it's a whole lot easier when it's chilly and gray outside.

I have been working on the idea of making ceramic bead caps- the ones above are some of my first attempts. I'm actually really happy with how they turned out. The challenge is definitely making the pairs match. I'm excited to make a few more and get some into finished jewelry pieces so I can see how they work.

Despite my de-numbing tooth I think it's time to have some lunch. I hope my leftovers lunch plan will be soft enough that I can handle it (Israeli couscous, asparagus, shrimp and a white wine scampi sauce, yum!)- otherwise pudding it is!

  1. WOW! I really like these M- I wouldn't use them to cap a bead though. I think they would look super as little Flower buds with little stamens (headpins with beads) dangling from below them.
I hope these end up in your store!

  2. love these....
