Fall Colors...

just not the fall colors you would expect...like leaves and pumpkins... Instead I bring you a peek at some new glazes, two that I love, one that I'm ok with and one that's totally not what I was hoping for. Can you guess which are which? The first is on porcelain, the middle two are on buff stoneware and the last is on porcelain as well. Thanks to everyone for stopping by for the Beads of Clay Open House event! If you didn't make it during the afternoon, I'm still offering a 30% discount on my website until midnight tonight when you enter the code fallopenhouse.

  1. Those middle two are to die for! I love the mysteriousness and the gravity of those colors. Perfect for the fall and winter season. And I want 'em. Yep. I do.

    Enjoy the day, Mellisa!

  3. I think all of these glazes have something to offer. The middle two are quite dramatic and lovely. But the last one, which at first seems a little plain, would mix well with the right beads and components. I like pieces that can do that.

  4. The last one is really subtle and gorgeous....goes with everything! BUT, they are all outstanding! I am drawn to #3 though, I am always a fan of the greens!
    Gorgeous work!

  7. Hi Sandra,
Yes, I'll definitely be putting more of the middle two in the kiln...hopefully there's room in my firing this weekend (Erin snapped the first batch up!)
