Two in a row

I wouldn't normally post two non-bead, dog filled updates but how could I resist when I was the lucky duck winner of Leanne Wildermuth's blog portrait giveaway this week?! Leanne, the generous (and incredibly talented) soul that she is, gives away a 5x7 graphite portrait each week. I'm sure the question you're asking yourself is: How do I enter and get to be a lucky duck too? You just need to head on over to her blog and leave a comment and some interesting details about the photo you'd like her to draw. Having the most photogenic dog in the world was obviously my unfair advantage so since she's now done a portrait of Nana you won't have to worry about competing with me! Now, (AFTER you finish reading my post) hurry over there and leave her a picture and comment so you're in the running for a picture too!

Of course if you're as impressed as I am by her work, you might just want to commission her right now to do a portrait for you- she has all the details on her website.

Just so this post isn't totally non-bead related, here's a little eye candy and a question... If I were to hold a wirewrapping class (specific techniques to be determined by demand) in either San Diego or Sedona on a Saturday-Sunday in the summer, would I have any takers?

I promise new stuff in the next week or so!

  2. Melissa, I'd meet you in Sedona, schedule permitting. This summer is pretty hectic!

That dog portrait is fabulous. I'm heading over to check out her work.

    Cheers, LeAnn

I found you by way of the winning entry and had to say that you have my dog! This is the exact twin of our precious "Lego" - yep that is his name. When you get a chance browse some of my blog - you'll see pics of him all over the place. Congratulations! Can I just save your drawing and hang it at my home and say it's Lego? :)
    Congratulations!

  4. Sharon, wish you were closer- I think we'd have fun! No Southwest flights from your neck of the woods? :)

LeAnn, I'll keep you posted and let you know if anyone else is interested.

Kathy, Lego looks like such a sweetie! I especially love the post where he's "working out" on the treadmill. I bet Nana would love him!
